Vacances de Falansai - Part 3: Foix and Paris

Wahaha it takes me more than a month to post about my trip eh? Okok, gonna finish off with the last part liao.

After we left Toulouse, we headed to Carcasonne. A place on the way to Foix, which used to be the administrative area of France, but now already changed to Paris ma. Inside there are lots of shops and restaurants.

After 2 hours stopping there, we moved on to Foix. Foix is a small town located in the Ariege region, it is on top of the hill so it's quite cold compared to Paris and Toulouse. The reason we go to Foix is for our management game in the University Le Mirail. We have a 4 days management game there - a simulation game where we are grouped into a group of 7 or 8 and we have to 'manage' a restaurant for 4 years. Each day representing one year. Due to all of us were in holiday mood, the mgmt game was horrible. I didn't like it at all. But, it is to help us to experience something before we go to the real world. I guess working in reality is much much much worst than that.

We stayed at some very beautiful chalets which is 20 minutes drive from the uni. (We get to cook in the chalets wee hee!) We have bus transfer daily. Polland students were also part of the games. So we get to meet a lot of different people :)

Beautiful view of the river outside the chalets.

The place we work. Part of the uni. Some classrooms and the auditorium is here :) Small uni only la... only for tourism masters student only.

View from the university.

Mickey mouse minced beef! Haha.

See their weighing machine. Self service one ok.The French students gave us this cheese to try. Smelly! But taste ok. Forgot what type of cheese is it. Monstieur I think.

Their keyboard. So hard to type. So different.

Their campus eating style. First time trying. Nice nice :) They serve red wine one ok! Fixed daily menu. But everyday sure got bread, bread and more bread.

Red leaves. Seldom get to see :)

We walked around the town the last day. Saw this bakery selling all these small figurines. Made of clay. Harry potter la, 7 dwards, batman all got!

We took the night train back to Paris. 7 hours ride. 6 people sleep in one cabin. Look how small it is. Some had to sleep with their luggages on the bed :( And the toilet hor, straight down the rail one ok! So reminder, don't pangsai when the train stop.

Back in Paris

We have one more day to spend at Paris before we head back to Malaysia. So few of us decided to walk Champs Elysees, go to Lafayette and then dinner at St Michel.

At Champs Elysees, Haagen Dazs is a huge SHOP, not kiosk. (Can see Foo Foo's cap :p)

My fave of the day. Nike Paris! Holy crap! There's like 10 times more things there than in Malaysia. I was so tempted to buy the whole shop bag. All so nice!!! I bought 2 handbags, 1 bag for my bro and 1 jacket.

LV building. I repeat, BUILDING. Not SHOP. 5 STOREY BUILDING.

See how many different lines the metros in Paris have. Wow. *blur blur* But if you get hold of it, it's very easy to take.

I saw a lot of these Kebab shops in France. And their kebabs are not like here, just a small roll of meat. The meat on the grill is HUGE. As huge as a cow's leg! This one that we tried, so so only la. I didn't really like it. Maybe because the mustard was too hot.

At night we went for dinner at St Michel. Tried to look for the place that we went on the first night but can't find it! Ended up in this seafood restaurant. Seafood again! Woohoo! Yummy. Serious, you ate the seafood there, you will think that seafood in Malaysia is not fresh at all. Especially oysters.

That's all about my trip. Short and sweet. Enjoyable. Thanks to all of you that made it so wonderful :)

I wished...

Great... now that I've given my mum Boolicious's masak-masak blog site, from day one onwards she's been printing out probably three quarter of her blog posts out. And visiting other links at her blog. And she's been reading blogs to blogs. I wonder if it was a good thing that I introduced to her. I'm just scared she'll end up able to search mine and read all my posts *die*

Anyway. Busy busy busy. I realize I lack of time to do my dissertation already. Thanks to my laziness. Gotta push myself harder now. Busy december.

Today, I did something that I swore I won't do anymore. I was ordered to give out flyers at the roadside. Darn. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. My muka not tebal enough to do all these. Arghh! Samore have to do 3 days. Life is so unfair.

I dreamt about someone yesterday. Ridiculously, him. Of all people, him. Thanks to *you people* (You know who you are) Eww.. Aherm! Aherm!

Sigh, I wished I didn't go into that *issue* just now. I wished I could turn back time. CY is right, maybe I should just pack and leave and just stay in Penang with her. Does 'it' matter so much? Is 'it' so so so important that 'it' will decide for you to be happy or not? Without 'it', people will die is it? Friends konon. Family konon. Without it, I think this family don't matter much to you. I don't think you even treat this family as your friends. Can't even enjoy yourself with your family without 'it'. WTF. So disappointed. Being able to help out is not an enjoyable thing? What a bullshit. Different mindset. What to do.

I'm glad I am not involved. I'm glad I didn't help out. If not, I think I already bocor my arteries and veins. I'm glad I have to go to work and enjoying my other interests. I wished I could have just focused MORE on my work and other interests. I wished I move to Penang and not come back. I don't want to go back listening to all these bulls and shyts anymore. It doesn't matter to me. It might once be, but not anymore. I just want to enjoy myself. No matter what it is. "It" or not "it".

Angry me *grrrrr* I wished...

Half way hanging

Sigh, really it suits for me to be a member of the TEG family (The Emo Gang). I can just turn moody in a blink of an eye.

Today work was actually fun. Very fun I would say. Staffs at 1U were very nice towards me. I actually enjoyed working there and even thought of working permanently there after I graduate. But, honestly speaking, it might look like it's a nice place with good food, but working for it may not be the same. I guess it occurs the same at all establishments lah. Not only here.

Then, towards the end, I suddenly feel very geram. I dunno why. I guess it's because one of the chef sort of nagged me when I was in the kitchen when it was super busy. Argh.. forget about it. It got me thinking, to work in the kitchen, seriously gotta be tough. I can predict in the future I will get scoldings and scoldings by chefs. Are all the chefs like that? They'll screw you like hell when it's busy, their face black like charcoals, and then after that they'll be like hee hee haa haa with you. and also thanks to some annoying CB face ppl there la... @ssface... *not mentioning who*

Was supposed to finish work 7.30pm but boss ask me stay and help out until 8pm cuz suddenly a lot of tables. End up helping until 9pm. Was sort of like complaining a bit because I don't get any OT money. Then only I realize boss and Fadli also the same. They work even longer hours than me. Never break and no OT as well. End up I feel so guilty on my way back I msged boss to say sorry. Sigh. Come to think of it, it's true, working in the hospitality line, you must be ready to face this kinda situation. Work non stop, sometimes even 12 hours a day. am I willing to take this responsibility?

Accept the fact, everybody who live in this world do things for a reason. For their own benefits. Financial wise, social wise, mental wise etc. Why do people work? For money. Why do people invest? For money. Why do people buy shares? For money. Why do people work harder? For more money. I can already predict my future to be this way. I'm willing to work like that. Of course, if it's worth it lah. If work so hard, no return, what for work so hard?

Ok, I don't know what am I rambling about too. Fcuk it. Bye.

Happy happy!

Wanted to blog about part 3 of my france trip but I am way too lazy to upload the pics :p Next time la hehe. It's already 1 month plus passed but still not done with posting. Oopsie!

Had a great week. Monday went for Danson's promo at Selayang just to see how is it, then Keon and Genie was 988's guests on Tues - Fri, managed to listen a bit. Keon's voice *thumbs up*. He sang JJ's "Killer", Jay's "Bu Neng Shuo De Mi Mi", Gary's "Bei Pan" (higher by half a key compared to Gary!) and a lot more. Friday went for dinner at Edmund's working place - Vintry (yummy yummy, thanks Ed :D) and Pei Jie's promo at Klang. He's very high too that day, very cute. Saturday went for Battleground recording and managed to take pics with a lot of ppl :) At first when we were waiting for the recording to start, we keep looking at Danny to say hi. But he never even look at us. We were so sad, thought he angry at us or something. We stare at him also he can't feel it. Until like after 15 minutes he saw us and said "Eh?!? How come I didn't see you all. Sorry" =_=" Managed to take a nice group pic with him :) Sunday just spend time with my family.

Happy happy :) Managed to chat with two unexpected ppl :) Really unexpected that this person message me first :)

This week I'll be at 1U's outlet from mon - thurs. Should be working 11 - 7.30 everyday gua... Don't know my full schedule yet. Next week also at 1U i think. Data entry konon. Visit me when you're free :) *lub*
